Recreation of wood cornice, restoration of storefront, new interior layout
Cost:
$100,000
At the turn of the 20th Century, a neighborhood deli occupied the corner of Eighth & Erie Streets in Jersey City. After many years of use it was abandoned. At the turn of the 21st Century it was brought back to life with a revitalized interior and exterior. A new plan was developed for contemporary use and the exterior features were restored including the wood and glass storefront as well as the cornice which housed an integral gutter.
