The Martin Beck Theatre was returned to its original grandeur through restoration plans, which consisted of gilding and decorative painting in a palette rich with Moorish and Byzantine reference. The mezzanine was redesigned to encompass a single row expansion, plaster replication and restoration, as well as reworking of technical lighting. Other restoration features included custom seating with cast ornamental end standards, new wood bars designed with Moorish details, and drapery adorned with trim reminiscent of the original stenciling of the decorative dome.
