The former deck was limited in use due to lack of protection from the sun in summer and coolness in spring and fall. The new 3-season room provides shelter from the weather and the many windows provides a view to the koi pond in the yard. Decorative rafter tails add to the charm of the small addition and will be replicated on the original house; in the next phase of work that will include removal of later date aluminum siding and replacement of later date windows.
